The 'Getting to Know School Programme' (GTKS) is a comprehensive programme designed to give new families a thorough introduction to Bluecoat and to allow children to feel welcomed and prepared, ready to start their Bluecoat journey. We look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks!

Our GTKS programme is now coming to a close. We hope it has been useful for you and your child in getting to know us and the school.
️Cancellation Notice: Story & Picnic Session ️- Wednesday 16th July 2025
Unfortunately, due to the poor weather forecast, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the ‘Getting to Know School’ Story and Picnic Session planned for today.
We know how disappointing this news is, especially for families who were looking forward to spending time with us and continuing to support their children to feel more familiar with our school and their new teachers. Sadly, with the end of term so close, we’re unable to reschedule the session.
However, please see below videos of stories being read by your child’s class teacher for you to enjoy today and throughout the holidays.
