Job Advert: School Catering Assistant
Part-time, Term Time Only (+ 5 non-pupil days) - 22.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per year
Grade A3 - £24,796 FTE (this will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
Are you friendly, reliable, and passionate about providing healthy meals for children? We are looking for a motivated School Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team and help create a positive dining experience for our pupils. You'll play an important role in ensuring our students enjoy a safe, welcoming, and efficient lunchtime experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
· Set up and replenish food counters.
· Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
· Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
· Clean and sanitise kitchen and dining areas.
· Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures.
· Help monitor stock and report shortages.
· Provide friendly and professional customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors.
· Support the catering team with daily kitchen duties as required.

· Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
