MSW INTERNSHIP APPLICATION
Blue Bee Counseling is a small business in South Jordan
*** We are currently assessing our available hours as our interns transition from graduation and determine their updated part-time or full-time schedules. Please check back here for updates. However, we may not have a confirmed schedule until May and will not be conducting interviews until our availability is finalized.
**You may check back here for updates! We plan to open another location soon and will put updates here for that as well!
Please read this entire page for our expectations and instructions to see if this internship is a good fit for what you are looking for!
Our work environment includes:
Modern office setting
FREE lunch on Wednesdays for our company meeting (Optional)
FREE soda bar/social Tuesdays around lunch time!
Growth opportunities
Fun environment
Great atmosphere
FUN events and activities!!
We would prefer to find someone who wants to work with children and teenagers, as we have a playroom for therapy and our facility attracts a lot of children and teenagers specifically! If this isn't up your alley, it may not be the best fit as it would take a lot longer to fill your schedule.
We are a small business and take care of our employees and value the work that they put in. We are easy to work with, drama free, and are so excited to work with you!
You are also welcome to email or message us with any more questions. We also encourage checking out our website to view our office spaces and current team members to see if you would be a good fit in working with us! www.bluebeecs.com
Please reach out about starting rates. This is a paid internship as we pay per client seen!
We do meetings on Wednesdays with FREE lunch! However this is optional, but just fun! We like to build upon each other and learn from each other. We are a small business looking to build a happy community. Join us to make life-time therapist friends to help you throughout your journey!
We have a very fun environment and do fun team activities! For example (These are all optional but super fun events): We have bi-monthly book club get togethers, we have an upcoming murder mystery dinner party for all of our team members and a plus one, this year we have done pool parties, family and friends art nights, we have gone to fun pottery places, and we are planning a fun getaway trip for all of our team members. We are creating a FUN environment and if you enjoy activities like these and being involved we encourage applying!!!
Please note that we are looking for a MSW intern that is in school and needs internship hours.
Responsibilities:
To see clients in therapy sessions
To do the notes for seen clients
When your schedule is filling up we will ask you to help create online mental health classes and courses, participate in our podcast, "Therapist Table Talk", write blogposts, and possibly help create social media content as well.
Please note that this position is for an internship in the field of social work. Candidates should be currently enrolled in a social work or related program and seeking practical experience in the field.
Expectations:
We require 30 observation hours in sessions before you are able to see your own clients. We will provide plenty of opportunities to reach this requirement!
All interns are required to complete a "project" with us at our practice. What this looks like is normally an online "masterclass" with six classes based on a topic. However, if you have a different creative approach to your project we are willing to discuss it with you! You can view examples of these HERE. We understand while your school internship may not require this, this is something we require as a part of our internship here at Blue Bee Counseling.
Even if you complete the 30 observation hours, we may not provide you with clients until both your supervisor and the clinical director agree you are ready.
We are only looking for interns who are easy going, can take constructive criticism, and that are drama free.
We are a small practice and so it may take longer for you to build up your clientele. Because of this, we expect and trust our interns to put an emphasis on their in-person learning with us at our practice when they do not have clients. (Collaborating with others in office, working on their Blue Bee project, and participating in writing blogs, or helping us with other marketing materials instead of only working on homework in their free time.)
We expect our interns to participate alongside other employees in our weekly company meetings if they are working during these days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 12pm). As well as joining when possible to our other fun activities outside of work. We are looking for interns who WANT a fun environment and who WANT to join our fun activities.
Instructions to apply:
We are a small office and have very limited space, so at times we may not be hiring. We would still love for you to check our status by emailing logan@bluebeecs.com with the following items:
Include your resume
Include 3 professional references and their contact information

Q&A
Our open offices are constantly changing so please reach out for what the current days/hours would look like! We currently have clients Monday-Thursday 7-5.
Please follow all instructions under the "Instruction" section on this page!
It would be depending on your hours and what type of internship/experience you are looking for! It could possibly be with Brandie or Kim!
Yes we definitely could! Depending on your school and if you are allowed to do clinical work or not we can definitely get you in early. All of our interns are required a month of supervising sessions before you are allowed to see your own clients. By starting in Summer this gets you ahead of the game and allows you to start doing clinical hours and to see clients right as your supervision starts. We could also get you in during the summer to do classes, courses, or other types of non-clinical internship items to count towards your hours. Please note that all of these options are not paid, but would count towards your internship hours.
