The story of Blooming Heart Counseling.

I believe names hold meaning and it was important for me to find a name for my business that conveys HOPE and JOY. In exploring names, I discovered the meaning of my Chinese name. "Zhi" means "Iris" or "Virtue" and "Yu" means "Jade" or "Exalted."

We experience life through all of our senses. Flowers are universally experienced in the same way, their visual beauty, their fragrance (pleasant or not so pleasant), how they feel (soft or prickly), some are edible, some are not, much like life at times. We all experience high and lows. Sometimes, the lows are difficult and we need support. Through joining in the therapeutic experience, I believe we can get through those tough times and start to experience the JOYS in life again. I think about how they gradually open up as they are nurtured with sunlight, they become more beautiful. Blooming Heart Counseling is a symbol of growth and healing. A heart that is open to new beginnings and fragrant scents. You can visualize a flower opening up as a way of acceptance and feelings of joy.

Making the decision to participate in counseling is a COURAGEOUS one and my HOPE is that working together, you will find your STRENGTH and discover your JOY.
