Social Studies

Second graders will be connecting reading, writing, thinking, speaking, and listening skills with hands-on experiences by use of "Nystrom Young Citizens" series. This series is a wonderful way to prepare our students for the twenty-first century!

Please take a moment to view projects that second graders did last school year! The new series is to correlate with the book from last year.

This year the students have done a Chapter 1 project. They completed time lines and wrote about family traditions, as well as interviewing family members.

Chapter 2 project was doing a "Social Action Plan" which the students did a school drive for collection of brand new socks to be donated to a nearby shelter.
