About Me

Welcome!  2023 marks my 22nd year teaching, 21 of them here at Fairview Elementary!  I've taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 6th grade English Language Arts and will again this year be teaching 6th grade Science and Social Studies.  I came into teaching after spending much time in my childrens' elementary classrooms. I went Alternate Route and have a B.S. in Business Management, a Masters Degree in Literacy and am a highly qualified teacher for grades  K-8.  Teaching is a profession I've always respected and have now grown to love.  I am a lifelong learner and appreciate, delight and embrace in the opportunity to impact our community and our future.

I grew up in Clifton, lived and worked in New York and have now been a resident and homeowner in Bloomfield for 32 years.  My two children attended Bloomfield public schools and are graduates of Bloomfield High School.  I enjoy travelling, hiking on weekends with my dog Reggie and spending time with my family and friends.  I am involved with many activities here at Fairview, so you may see me in Fairview's Falcons Nest, prepping students for Academically Speaking, Forensics, chess, G&T competition events or working with families during Family Math, Family Reading and Family Science evenings.

I look forward to meeting and challenging my new sixth grade students!  It is in challenges where we grow.
