Happenings

3C is off to a wonderful start of the new school year!  We have started with a positive note and we are building our growth mindsets.  A growth mindset is the belief that the most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work.   Brains and talent are just a starting point .  Children with a growth mindset tend to see challenges as opportunities to grow and we can teach them that a love of learning  is essential for great accomplishment.(Dweck,2015)

These pictures are 3C holding a letter and a photograph from President and First Lady Biden.  In the fall, when the students learned about the Three Branches of Government with our student teacher Ms. Alexa Pontoriero, the students wrote letters to the president. In their letters they included what they had learned from the lesson and also a question they had for President Biden.

Today we received a letter and a signed picture from the first Lady and the President. How excited the whole class was to receive mail from the President of the United States!

Please welcome our student teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.  She will be with us Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from September through December.  From January through the end of May, Ms. Pontoriero will be with us Mondays through Fridays each week.
