CURRICULUM

Language Arts - In Reader's Workshop,  we will begin the new year with "Building Our Reading Life."  In Writer's Workshop we will begin the year with Personal Narrative writing/Narrative small moment writing.

Math - We are beginning this new year with a review of important second grade skills.   Practice your basic facts including beginning to learn your multiplication tables.

Science -  The Science Unit that we will begin the year with is "Weather and Climate," Unit 3 in the textbook.

Social Studies -  The year will begin with the study of the geography of the world.  This includes all of the continents, oceans and other important areas of the world.  We will learn how to understand maps and their symbols.
