My name is Mr. Kozak and I'm a history teacher at Bloomfield High School. As a BHS graduate myself, I am excited to be working back in the school district that has provided me with so many opportunities and great memories. In 2012, I graduated from Caldwell University with a Bachelor's degree in History.

As a teacher, I think it is important to be accessible to all of my students. I do this by gaining rapport, understanding their weaknesses, working to their strengths, and creating a safe environment for learning. It is paramount for students to learn the material being taught, but it is just as vital, or maybe even more, for students to be confident in their abilities and be able to reach their full potential as a functioning person in society. I do my best to ensure that when they leave my classroom each student is equipped with the skills necessary to accomplish whatever goals they may have.

When I am not in the classroom, I am either coaching or teaching baseball lessons. I take a lot of pride in being the BHS boys basketball assistant coach and a baseball coach at Clifton High School. I take being a coach very seriously. I do my best to teach appropriate techniques and strategies that assist in bettering the athlete/team while building up each athlete's self-esteem by bringing knowledge, enthusiasm, and respect into the sport. As a coach, I take responsibility for helping the team feel as sense of accomplishment and promotion in skill.
