History through Film (1920-Present) is a one-semester 2.5 credit course offered as a social studies elective. The course is designed for students in grades 11 & 12. History through Film is designed to allow students who have completed United States History I and II to use their knowledge to better understand how our society perceives, influences, and portrays history. Students will utilize the knowledge already learned to be able to help synthesize it with new knowledge interpreted through viewing selected films. The course encourages students to continue developing writing, communicating, public speaking, and critical thinking skills.
