Blackboard

Blackboard is the learning management system that all online & hybrid courses operate at Bloomfield College. To access Blackboard, you need to be a registered BC student. Then you need to have an activated login and password. If you have questions about your login and password, contact the helpdesk at 973-748-9000 ext 1224.

HelpDesk - Technical Support

The IT Helpdesk is the main contact point to provide assistance to all technical problems, including accessing myBloomfield Portal, email, Blackboard (e.g difficulty getting into Blackboard, difficulty accessing a course in Blackboard, or features of Blackboard that do not appear to be functioning properly). For help, students should contact the College IT Helpdesk: 973-748-9000 ext 1224 (or email to helpdesk@bloomfield.edu).

For assistance with course content (material/information in a course site in Blackboard) students should contact your professor.

Library Services

The College Library provides a number of resources for the support of online learning. Users can connect to the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) to find print resources available for reference or checkout. VALE provides access to many electronic journals and databases. The “Ask the Librarian” email service is available to all students and faculty of Bloomfield College. Requests for interlibrary loans can be initiated via the Internet.
