Upcycling Projects

With Plastic Patrol we are adding another dimension to the beautiful art and jewellery created in Tanzania: parts of plastic bottles are upcycled to bracelets that are wrapped with left-over fabrics (that would otherwise be burnt) from local tailors. We are collaborating with different venues in Tanzania, and hopefully soon also beyond, where these bracelets can be bought. Any income from these bracelets will support our ongoing environmental project or will contribute to scholarships for Black Rhino Academy.

In the nearby future we hope to create a social enterprise to offer local women a small income by collecting and washing plastic bottles and upcycling them into accessories.
