The Prize is open to anyone in NSW or the ACT.
Members of Black Head Bazaar Inc and their immediate families cannot enter the Prize.
You can enter up to three images. The entry fee is $15.00 per image. A card payment fee will be added to the entry fee.
Entries open on 1 March 2024 and close at 11:45 PM (Sydney time) on 13 May 2024.
The Judge will award three prizes, each with a value of $1,000.00.
The Judge will be Manning Valley artist and photographer Julie Slavin.
We hope to receive many entries, but if we don’t receive at least 80 entrants, we will cancel the Prize and refund your entry fee.
You must not use generative AI programs (like DALLE-E, Bing Image Creator, Midjourney, Craiyon Dream, Dream Studio or similar programs) to create your image.
You may use photo editing programs/apps, like Adobe Photoshop, that use AI for subject recognition or editing refinements.
No. You can only enter images that are your own original work and that do not infringe any copyright or privacy laws. Images must be free of watermarks or branding.
You own the copyright to your images. By entering the Prize, you grant us the right to reproduce each image for publicity, promotion, critical review or archival reference (in both hard copy and digital formats). We will attribute images that we use to you.
If you're selected as a finalist, your work will be exhibited in either the Hallidays Point Library or in the shopfronts near Foodworks. If your work is exhibited in the Library and you sell a work, Midcoast Council will keep 15% of the sale price as a commission.
