BHRC received 11 NWIL Housing Design Competition submissions. Below, you will find links to each's executive summary, which offers a brief design overview. Paired with the executive summary is the design packet, which contains additional written descriptions and drawings/illustrations. We strongly recommend viewing each submission on a desktop computer. Additionally, please:
Vote only if you are a resident 18 or older of Northwest Illinois (Carroll, Jo Daviess, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, and Whiteside counties).
Review all submissions before voting. Take notes along the way; it will help!
After clicking on a submission, you can use the pop-out or magnification tools to zoom in.
Consider the Key Concepts - especially Multigenerational Living, Universal Design and Accessibility, and Housing Affordability - and what you would be excited to see built.
