OVERVIEW
Submissions were scored by an 9-person judging panel with experience in accessibility, community and economic development, and design. Simultaneously, BHRC hosted a public voting competition. In total, BHRC plans to make six awards of $5,000 and provide at least $500 to each participant. We are grateful to all of the submitters, judges, and Northwest Illinois residents that provided thoughtful comments as well as AARP for partially funding the competition. BHRC will display the work in 2026 at local civic and cultural institutions.
