Important Dates

👉August 25: First day to submit an absentee ballot request.

👉October 14: Early, in-person voting begins - voters can both request a ballot and complete it in person at the county auditor's office from October 14 - November 2. 

👉October 19: Pre-registration deadline for voters (5PM) - means registering to vote before you show up to vote, as opposed to registering on the spot when you get there (same-day registration IS allowed in Iowa). If you register by this deadline, you name will be on the official voter rolls when you go to vote — no extra steps, no additional paperwork, just showing ID and voting. If you miss this deadline, you can still REGISTER AND VOTE on November 3 at your polling place. 

👉November 2: Last day for early in-person voting.

👉November 3: ELECTION DAY and last day absentee ballots can be returned - must be received by 8PM.
