FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Living on campus is not required for Blackburn and Beyond students. However, participation in the work program is required whether you live on campus or off.
During your first two years at Blackburn, you will be taking 12 credit hours. 9 hours will be in-class credits and 3 additional hours will be earned through work experience.
During your final two years, you will be taking 6 credit hours of coursework while spending the other half of the day in experiential learning through work placements.
If you progress through a degree earning concentration and meet the credit hour requirement then you will earn a degree.
If you proceed through the Certificate of Accomplishment path (96 credit hours) you will receive a certificate.
Yes. Students are highly encouraged to apply for financial aid and the program is covered for FAFSA support. Students will be enrolled in the minimum 12 credit hours to gain eligibility.
No. A high school diploma is not required as long as you are at least 18 years of age and have finished your public schooling.
Yes. As with other Blackburn students. Your work hours will count towards a tuition credit and additionally as credit hours towards your certificate.
