(Scroll to the introductory section.)
Take down notes about producers, consumers, and decomposers.
Step 2: Choose Your Habitat
Your group will select or be assigned one habitat:
Forest
Ocean
Grassland
Desert
Freshwater Lake/River
List at least five living things commonly found in that habitat.
Step 3: Build Your Food Chain
Create a linear food chain using organisms from your chosen habitat.
Make sure your chain includes:
1 Producer
At least 3 Consumers (herbivore → carnivore → top predator)
1 Decomposer
Example (Forest habitat):
Grass → Grasshopper → Frog → Snake → Eagle → Mushrooms
Step 4: Design Your Output
Choose one:
A short slideshow (5–6 slides)
A poster (digital or handwritten)
A one-page chart with drawings or printed pictures
Your work must include:
Your food chain diagram
Labels of each organism and their role
A short explanation of how energy flows through the chain
2–3 sentences explaining what happens if one organism disappears
Step 5: Prepare for Presentation
Each group will present for 2–3 minutes.
Everyone must speak at least once.
