PREP BAND

Prep Band – Grade 10, 11, 12

This course is designed for any student at Legacy High School.  The literature is designed to be lighter in nature than that in Concert Band or Wind Ensemble.  Special emphasis will be placed on scales and methods as well as literature graded 2-4. Performances for this band include concerts, festivals, pep band events, special community appearances, and parades. Concert participation is a required and integral part of the curriculum.  The majority of these performances occur outside of the school day. Tours are optional and generally occur on an alternating basis.  Prior instrumental experience is strongly encouraged, but not required.
