My name is Margaret Kelly, and I am so excited to start my second year at Kerr Middle School. This is my 20th year in education. I am starting my 10th year as a school counselor. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I taught English grades 6-12 for ten years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, cooking, gardening, and walking my dog, Gabby.
I love being a school counselor and enjoy my interactions with students, staff and parents. My responsibilities include conducting individual counseling, small group counseling, teaching classroom guidance lessons, and dealing with various situations that arise throughout the school day. I tell my students that I am a listener and helper to all of the children in the school, and to their teachers and parents as well.
