BISD Pre-K & Kindergarten: Pre-Enroll now for Fall 2024
Burleson ISD is preparing for the next school year, and we want to keep you informed!
If you have a student who will enroll in BISD Pre-K or Kindergarten next school year, we invite you to complete pre-enrollment at the links below.
By completing pre-enrollment, BISD will send important information for the 2024-2025 school year to the email address you provide. BISD can't wait to welcome your student(s) to our schools!

Pre-K Registration
Pre-Kindergarten is a voluntary program offered to students who are at least four years of age on or before September 1 of the current year and meet the program qualifications.
Pre-kindergarten will be offered at the Academy of Leadership & Technology at Mound, Brock Elementary, Frazier Elementary, Norwood Environmental Science Academy, and Taylor Elementary.
Parents, register your student online or schedule an in-person appointment by calling 817-245-1052.
Qualifications
Children entering pre-kindergarten must be at least four years old on or before September 1, 2023, AND meet one or more of the following criteria:
Child has Limited English Proficiency – Language test will take place to determine language proficiency
Child is economically disadvantaged – Based on a sliding scale of annual income per household member (proof of household income for past 2 months required or a copy of current food stamp letter)
Child is Homeless – As determined by BISD’s Student Residency Questionnaire
Child of an active duty, injured, or deceased member of the US military – DOD/VA documentation required
Child who is in or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services – CPS/court documentation required
Child of a Star of Texas Awarded parent
Application and Registration
How to apply:
Complete an online pre-kindergarten application at BURLESONISD.SCHOOLMINT.NET. Once you complete the application, a BISD representative will contact you to assist with the qualification process.
Once you qualify, you will then complete the enrollment packet at SKYWARD NEW STUDENT ONLINE ENROLLMENT. If you currently have a student enrolled in the district, you can log into SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS using your current Skyward username and password and select the New Student Registration tab.
Upon completion of the online enrollment packet, you will complete the registration process with your child’s assigned campus.
Documents Needed
The following documents will need to be electronically uploaded during the enrollment process:
Student's birth certificate
Social security card (optional)
Current immunization records
Proof of residency: Current electric or water bill AND a lease agreement or tax statement with current address
Parent/Guardian's driver's license or picture ID
Kinder Registration
Kindergarten is a full-day program offered at all elementary schools.
If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, 2024, it’s time to register for kindergarten!
How to Register:
Complete online registration at SKYWARD NEW STUDENT ONLINE ENROLLMENT. If you currently have a student enrolled in the district, you can log into SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS using your current Skyward username and password and select the New Student Registration tab. You will need your student’s home campus to register. To determine your home campus, visit FIND MY SCHOOL.
Once you complete the online enrollment packet, you will be prompted to schedule an appointment for the campus registrar to contact you to complete the process.

ACADEMY OF LEADERSHIP & TECHNOLOGY AT MOUND: April 11th from 3:30pm-5:30pm
BROCK ELEMENTARY: Registration is online. Kinder Camp June 7th and 8th is by invitation after registration is complete. The campus will provide you with a time.
CLINKSCALE ELEMENTARY: May 18th and 19th (times determined by sign-up)
FRAZIER ELEMENTARY: April 20th from 8:00am-6:00pm
HAJEK ELEMENTARY: July 20th and 21st (times determined by sign-up)
NORWOOD ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE ACADEMY: May 9th from 8:00am-2:30pm
STEAM ACADEMY AT STRIBLING: July 25 at 9:00am or 1:00pm
TAYLOR ELEMENTARY: August 3rd from 8:00am-11:00am

Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I know what school is my home campus?
To find your home campus (your zoned school), visit School Search. Only select elementary campuses have a Pre-K program.
- Which schools in BISD will have Pre-K for the 2024-2025 school year?
Academy of Leadership & Technology at Mound, Brock Elementary, Frazier Elementary, Norwood Environmental Science Academy, and Taylor Elementary.
- If my home campus does not have Pre-K, then where will I attend?
BISD staff will assign students to campuses based on enrollment numbers and proximity to the home campus.
- Will my Pre-K child be able to return to their home campus for Kindergarten?
Yes, all students will return to their home campus at the end of the year since kindergarten is offered at all BISD elementary campuses.
- Will Pre-K fill up and not have a seat for my child?
No, every child in BISD who qualifies will have a spot in Pre-K.
If my child is on the waitlist for an elementary school of choice for Kindergarten, what should I do?
Enroll your student at their home campus (zoned school). To find your student’s home campus, visit BISD SCHOOL SEARCH. If your student is accepted to the school of choice at a later date, BISD can transfer enrollment to the new campus.
- Is there a “Meet the Teacher” or other kindergarten event before school starts?
Yes. Meet the Teacher details will be available in July.
