Social Studies

The Contest Summary

This contest is designed to encourage students to expand their knowledge of social studies, particularly in the areas of history, government systems, economics, citizenship and culture. Subject matter used for the test will be taken from currently adopted social studies textbooks and identified primary sources.

The Contest Format

Students will be given an objective test containing approximately 40 questions. 30 minutes will be allotted for the test exclusive of time required for instructions.

Scoring

• +3 for correct answers

• -2 for incorrect answers

• No points are added or deducted for questions not answered
