Welcome to Fourth Grade! My name is Beverly Morgan. I have been teaching K/1 for the last 6 years. I have had 3 of the best loops a teacher could ask for. One of the three loops are fourth graders this year, and I am privileged enough to have some of them again. I have taught fourth grade for three years in Oklahoma. Those Oklahoma fourth graders are now grown and raising babies of their own, however, they still hold a special place in my heart. Fourth Grade fostered a love for teaching, so I am incredibly thankful to have the opportunity to teach it again.
I am married to one of my favorite people in the world, Michael Morgan. We have 4 children together: Caleb, Cadence, Cason, and Caylin. Caleb is a Junior at Joshua Highschool and plays baseball for JHS. Cadence is a 7th grader at Kerr. She is in Honors band and is going to try out for volleyball and basketball. Cason is a 5th grader at Nola Dunn and loves any sport that has a ball. Last but not least is my Caylin. She is a kindergarten at Nola Dunn this year and despite being the youngest of four she is a spit fire that loves t-ball. We also introduced a new puppy, Ky, into our home this summer. She currently loves to chew and bite, chase Caylin and Cason, and do everything we ask her not to do.
I graduated from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma in 2005 with my early childhood and elementary degree. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I taught 4th grade for my first 3 years, then 3rd grade for the next four years in Oklahoma. After those seven years of teaching, I chose to stay home with my middle kids and volunteer at the school. During those seven years we moved to Texas in 2016. I worked at First Baptist as the Pre-K teacher so I could teach but still be with Cason. I realized how much I missed teaching and applied for the K/1 job at Nola Dunn the following year. 6 years later, here I am teaching back in the grade I started in.
I am so excited to be your child's teacher. I can't wait to challenge them and watch them grow this year. Please do not hesitate to contact me for anything. I have four very different children. Because of that it has allowed me to have patience and love for all kinds of personalities and a better understanding for different learning types.
This year is going to be the best year yet! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to teach your child.
Love,
Mrs. Morgan
