Welcome to Reading Club!
Reading Club is a supplemental reading program for eligible students. It is designed to supplement the classroom instruction and to support the reader in meeting individual reading goals. We will focus on print concepts, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, and comprehension strategies. We also strive to instill reading confidence and promote a love of reading. I am looking forward to reading with your child!

All About Me
I graduated from Indiana University in 1986 and began teaching first grade that same year. I have taught general education, special education, and reading intervention in grades K-8 in schools all over the country. I have a graduate level special education endorsement from West Virginia University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.
In my spare time, I love to read! I also walk along Manitou Beach every day. I practice and teach yoga. I have three children and one grandchild. I grew up near Chicago and have lived all over the country. I have lived on Bainbridge Island since 2001 and absolutely love this community and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
I enjoy taking photos as I walk along the water each day.
