Learning math need not be all pain and suffering. Thanks to the internet, there are some pretty cool sites out there that can take the drudgery out of practicing math. Check 'em out!
Birchwood's own Mrs. B. has put together the best of the best educational sites all in one place. You'll find not only math, but science, writing, and technology.
You can practice "Everything Math" on this site. Once you sign up for an account (or, if you're under 13, a parent signs you up) you'll be ready to take a placement "pre-test" so that the site can place you at the skill level where you belong. From there, you earn points, badges, and other rewards for your progress.
If you are learning your multiplication tables, check out this site. It's packed with interactive games that help you master your facts from 0-10.
There's nothing fancy about this site, but if you want to practice things like time telling, fractions, decimals, or geometry, this is the site for you.
This is more of an instructional site than a practice one. It contains a number of videos that, similar to Khan Academy, teach basic math concepts. The videos are more appealing, visually, than those of Khan Academy, and might hold the interest of children longer.
