Types of Teams
Any high school can start a BioBuilderClub team, and schools can have multiple teams supervised by the same teacher leader. BioBuilderClub participation is limited to high school students, so middle school or college teams are not permitted.
1-10 high school students and an adult leader may also form a team outside of a school if a student is homeschooled or if their high school does not have an existing team. International teams must be associated with a school and supervised by a teacher.
Team Size
1-10 high school students. Each team must also have a teacher or adult leader.
Season
October to March. However, teams are free to get started as soon as they wish with our existing resources.

Cost
$400 per team (free for up to 2 teams at Title I schools)
Showcase Opportunities
Present at a Final Assembly (Boston, Atlanta, Midwest), in-person or virtually; Publish in BioTreks- the peer-reviewed journal for high school synthetic biologists
