Dr. Gillis Mattson's research interests include applications of machine learning/AI, addressing mental health across lifespan for autistic individuals, and provider training & burnout.
Dr. Gillis Mattson enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Meet our Graduate Students
Kelly Buchanan is a sixth year clinical psychology doctoral student from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her research interests include school absenteeism and school refusal, as well as parent and teacher knowledge about evidence-based methods for supporting wellbeing in autistic youth. In her free time she likes hiking with her dog Kai, stand up paddleboarding, and playing the ukulele.
Diego Aragon-Guevara is a second year clinical psychology doctoral student from the Bay Area, California. Diego received his BS in Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. His research interests include online safety and quality of life for Autistic adults. In his free time, Diego enjoys cooking, reading and playing sports.
Jessica Granieri is a fifth year clinical psychology doctoral student from Long Island. She is currently completing her predoctoral internship at The Guidance Center in Long Beach, CA. Her research interests include the social experiences of autistic children and adolescents and the accessibility of interventions across contexts. Her dissertation is focused on evaluating cultural differences in the parenting styles and preferences of caregivers of autistic children to better inform parent-mediated interventions. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, sunshine, caffeine, and spending quality time with family and friends
Mia Grosso is a fifth year clinical psychology doctoral student from the Philadelphia area and is currently completing her predoctoral internship. Her research interests include diagnostic overshadowing and the use of camouflaging behaviors. In her free time, Mia enjoys hiking and watercoloring.
