The EnerZone Group (EnerZones) is composed of five privately-owned distribution utilities that power the communities and businesses in Subic, Balamban, Mactan, Lima and Malvar. Subic EnerZone operates the distribution systems of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, covering Zambales and Bataan. EnerZones brings to life the phrase, “Stronger Together” as we efficiently distribute reliable power across the country through our wide network of distribution utilities. A better tomorrow can only be achieved when we work for it together.

OPERATION AND PROCEDURES
Power transmission is the large scale movement of electricity at high voltage levels from a power plant to a substation. Whereas power distribution is the conversion of high voltage electricity at substations to lower voltages that can be distributed and used by private, public, and industrial customers. A utility power transmission and distribution system controls, protects, transforms, and regulates electrical power so it can be safely delivered to the user. The utility power transmission and distribution system begins at the point of power production and normally ends at a building metered service entrance point, which is where the building distribution system begins. A utility power transmission and distribution system consists of transmission substations (step-up transformers), transmission lines, distribution substations (step-down transformers), and distribution lines.

As we entered in this plant, the engineers brought us to their supply room which comprises different materials and paraphernalia that the company used in the transmission and distribution system of power in their area. We have seen some transformers, tools, huge wires, busbars, etc. that is related to electrical engineering. The staffs are very welcoming to their visitors and they have shared their insights about their work as electrical engineers in the said company. We are amazed that the power rate in Subic is lower than our usual power rate in Albay. They also told us that the power interruption in their area is very seldom and they are always rely on their announcement first before having a power interruption for no reason. In addition, they were very intelligent on their answers as we questioned about their company's distribution system on their community.
