How do you feel about the virus going on? Are you frustrated? What are your emotions?

I was grateful I had time off, but I felt alone. I am happy to be back in school although I want to keep the school safe and think vaccinations help.

Yes, I do it to keep everyone safe no matter what.

What are your strategies of teaching whenever we have this virus going on?

I don’t want the virus to affect how I teach, so I haven’t really changed anything.

Is it tough to teach both math and finance?

Yes, it is tough although I have taught eight years of math, so that makes it easier when teaching math. However, finance is more challenging because I am learning and I enjoy it because it is important for students to be financially literate.

Is it hard to grade assignments when you have two classes to take care of?

Yes, because when I grade everything and catch up, more things that pile on.

Was it hard to teach for home learning?

Yes, it was hard to not have physical contact with students and not be able to see if students understand.

Do you like to teach? Are you satisfied with your job?

Yeah, I like teaching. Although most days are difficult, there are some days that are great.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

Beach volleyball, cross-fit, riding bikes.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Relax, hobbies, spending time with my family and dog.

I love math and helping people. I want to share my love of teaching people.

Assessment Anxiety

How do you feel about quizzes and tests? Some can be hard, challenging, confusing, easy, fair, and so much more. Different subjects have different difficulty rates.

I asked a few 6th-grade students how they felt about quizzes. I asked five students and here is what they said. Davina said, "Quizzes are hard and they lower her grade by a lot.” Gaya Wolf ( social studies class) She said they are pretty hard but they affect her grade and normally it drops by 3-5 percent.”

Ella Ettlinger ( English class) A staff writer and a 6th-grade student said, “ They are pretty time-consuming and hard to study for.” Orian E said

(Animation class) “ His projects are pretty hard because if you don’t finish on time or do the assignment it takes off a lot of points which drops her grade.”

The last student we are interviewing is, Stephanie M who said ( Math class) “ Her tests are pretty hard sometimes other times easy but sometimes I forget how to do things even if I study.” Personally, I find it to matter how students feel and that it matters what subject to the score results.

How do you feel about football season ending without a game?

Oh. Heartbroken we had one more game. I’m upset about it but not that upset because we had a good season. And it comes down to a win for us when they forfeit we win.

If you could re-live one of our football games which one would it be?

Culver City. I do not like Culver City. Yeah, Culver City because we could have beat them. If I would have put Eliana in earlier and let her take care of that big guy we probably had a bit better but I didn’t put her in by the second half and he didn’t get anywhere near our quarterback. So that was my mistake.

Are you excited about the players you know are going to join your basketball team?

Yes and no because I’m trying to figure out whos going to join the basketball team. I know about four really good players right off the top I can’t name cuz’ then it would be *laughing* But I’m excited.

What is one training technique you like to use on all your players?

I run my plays because I like them to be in shape. I don’t want them to be tired on the court because that’s embarrassing.

Would you be teaching boys volleyball?

No, I know nothing about volleyball

Who is the funniest person on the football team?

Santi. Santi’s funny, he makes me laugh every day.
