By Issabella Monroe (Staff writer)

Have you booked your vacation yet? If you are not sure where to go, here are some places you should visit at least once in your life.

Traveling can impact your life in so many ways. Whether it’s for a project or for fun. Your mind opens up to the beautiful sights around the world. When you travel you lose stress, anxiety, and it can boost your creativity. Sometimes you need to go far out of your comfort zone and explore. Some of the most popular places to travel to are Paris, Bora bora, Maui, and many more.

Starting with Paris, this is a great place to visit with many attractions to see along with their beautiful language, French. Paris brings over 30 million tourists every year. One place you should visit in Paris is the Eiffel tower. The Eiffel tower is 1063 feet tall and it was a gift to France from the United States. The Eiffel tower is also the most visited attraction in Paris. I suggest you go see it before you leave, it will be a great experience. One of the best places to stay when visiting Paris according to Best places to stay in Paris is the 7th arrondissement, “This is the best place to stay if you want to be super close to the main attraction in Paris, while also having countless choices for restaurants, bars, and charming cafes.” Go enjoy a coffee or eat some food, Paris is famous for its cafes.

Bora Bora is also a beautiful place to visit and perhaps the most famous island getaway in the world. This place has warm, clear beaches, colorful fishes, and wonderful hotels to stay at. It is known for its volcanic views, its lagoon, resorts, and beautiful surrounding. When in Bora Bora you should definitely go to their beaches. Matira Beach is a good beach to visit, with clear waters and warm sand. People come to this beach every day and it is highly recommended. A stated by Matira Beach, “You'll find the beach about 5 miles south of Vaitape, and you can get there by bicycle or taxi.”

An additional place to overtake can be Maui. When you arrive in Maui, you will see 30 miles on pristine beaches with white, red, and black sand. Maui is the second-largest Hawaiian island. According to, where to stay on Maui, the Hana Highway is the best place to stay along, you will find nice restaurants, Inns, hotels, and several little shops. One thing you should not miss while going to Maui is Whale watching. Their beautiful Humpback whale watching is very popular and a sight you will never forget. As claimed by Maui whale watching tours, Whale watching season in Maui is November-may with peak season typically running between mid-January and March. There are many family-friendly activities do around the island and you will have a great time doing any of them.

No matter where you go in the world whether it is close to home or a couple of hours away, there is many fun stuff to do around. So if you have not booked a vacation regardless of how big it is, maybe consider doing so.

Our School Science fair Geniuses!

By Eliana Shirazi (Staff writer)

On December 8, we had our annual school science fair with all of the booths filled. All the participants of the science fair are extremely brave to come with their projects to have the best it is very exciting to see who has the winning project. We found amazing projects such as “Does Color affect Memory?” or “Does Color affect Food?” or “How to Prevent Wild Fire In Houses.” We have smart people in our school that are brave enough to share their projects with us. Now for our top three winners Evelyn Kruger with the top prize for 6th grade. Donovan, Jake, and Liam for 7th grade. Cleo Paul for 8th grade. Congrats to all the fist place winners!

ASB Is Making BVMS the Place to Be

By Cooper Esparza (Staff writer)

Our ASB works very hard to set up big events for example The Haunted Maze, Costume Contest, and parties for different holidays. It’s really hard to organize these events for a school with over 700 students inside at once, events are always happening at BVMS. They are organized by just a few people and it happens every single day, there are some really big events. A lot of students go to these events and participate in them. ASB is doing fun activities at the nutrition area on Friday every week.

Last night, 12/9/2021 the cheer and football teams got their seasonal award for the Four Core Award, The Bulldog Award, The MVP Award, and finally The Most Improved. So for sixth grade from the first game, she got the most tackles, Evelyn Kruger! For our bulldog award, we have Tyler Emrani! A well-deserved award for our wide receiver. For our MVP award, this well deserved this player was the star of the team and never stopped working hard Rocco Taylor! And lastly for most improved from the first day of practice they couldn’t push to now one of their last games in Culver City to blocking a 6ft 5 guy Eliana Shirazi! All of these people are extremely deserving of their awards and all the other sports team members are amazing as well. Congrats to all!

Kudos to Our Volleyball Players

By Ella Ettlinger (Staff writer)

Something that helped me get through transitioning from online learning to in-person school this year was the volleyball team. This year's 6th-grade team was huge, most of my friends were in it. Our team was successful with only two out of ten games. Although winning was fun playing volleyball is not just about winning and losing. I enjoyed my time with all my teammates. Here's Coach Park, Coach Brittany, Coach Serano, and Coach Kwon have all helped us improve this year, and I'm very thankful for them and my team.

Sweeping the Streets of Beverly Hills

By Adam Geller (Staff writer)

We all know about busy streets, right? What if those busy streets had a place to ride your bike or scooter. This isn’t just any normal bike lane. This is a Protected bike lane with concrete pillars lining the side of it. Charleville, Wilshire, and Gregory way, in the city of Beverly Hills, had one for kids to ride their bikes to school so it would be safer. According to BicycleUniverse.com, 34,000 people are killed per year in car collisions. That could be prevented by putting in protected bike lanes. It would also encourage less use of cars and using fossil fuels. More bikes save our planet and save lives.

Where Are Bulldogs Going for Their Winter Break?

By Eliana Shirazi (Staff writer)

I know that winter break will be coming up soon, but not all of us know where we are going, so let me give you some unique tips. BVMS student Olivia said that she was going to Laguna Beach to surf and sixth-grader Ella said that she wants to go to Big Bear to get away from the big city to get some peace and quiet. Doesn’t everybody want that after this very busy semester? Jake, another sixth-grader, stated that he was just going to stay home and watch TV all day. One of the most interesting responses was from August who told me that he was going to New York for his baseball tournament. Hope you win August! To the rest of you who don’t know where you might want to go, I hope you find a place to enjoy yourself during your break.
