Andrew Tate is Either Loved or Hated
By Jonathan Gorodezki
Andrew Tate is an inspirational influencer who used to be a kickboxer. He was the world champion four times. He and his brother have made millions of dollars from Youtube. Andrew Tate claims he is the first trillionaire ever living on planet Earth. Something about Andrew Tate is that either people hate him or love him. The main reason why some people hate him is that females may think he is very sexist, which may influence others to believe so.
Others think he is an excellent influencer because he says the truth and nothing but the truth. Whether people love him or hate him, they respect him for the man he is.
Homework? No Thank You
By Edward Morrison
Now, this is a question that has started to play out in schools across the country.
Now if you ask students, most of them would say no. And the teachers for the last century would mostly say yes. But the number of teachers that are saying no to homework has grown over the years. And I think that they might be right as well as the students.
At this point, homework has been seen as just a part of a student's life. It seems like it’s been around forever. But if you look at the roots of homework, it seems like homework isn’t so justified and maybe it’s not just a part of a student’s life. In 1905 Roberto Nevelis of Venice, Italy is widely seen to be the inventor of homework and it was invented as a punishment for rude, and unruly students. The question here is, how did a punishment become something students had to do even if they weren’t rude to the teacher?
When homework landed in America in the early 1900s it came with mixed reviews and most states outright banned the practice because lawmakers knew that homework was just pretty impractical. Even in the early 1900s, at the same time, when corporal punishment was allowed, homework wasn’t. Homework doesn’t sound so good now.
Now I actually do see some benefits for homework, it can help you remember a topic and study, and it is also very good for practice. But I think homework would be better as a punishment, or even optional for practice. I really think that we can certainly use homework for good. It could help teachers that are struggling with disobedient classes, and people who like homework as a good way to study, especially for math class, could benefit too. I think it is certainly something that teachers could try out. At the end of the day, I don’t think schools should have mandatory homework.

The Just Stop Oil campaign is pushing the limit of how to run an activist team. The cause of Stopping Large manufacturing of oil is understandable but was severely planned and thought out. Many of the points they said in their speech are disregarded by what they did to make the address go viral, Like the die in their hair, The soup they are wasting, and the art they are vandalizing.
To grab the audience's attention, they used Tomato Soup to vandalize Van Gogh's art piece Tournesols, and it turns out they were talking about food problems in our world too. It is stupid to talk about food problems when you waste a perfect can of soup that you could've given to someone that needed it. This cancels the idea of a food crisis in our world.
The object that was vandalized was Van Gogh's art piece Tournesols. Van Gogh was deeply compassionate about nature, as suggested in his many arts of flowers and greens. His art shouldn't be vandalized for a cause that he would have supported if he had been alive in modern times. His objective was to show the beauties and wonders of nature; that's why he painted, not for anything else some kids like the vandalized would assume.
Phoebe Plummer, the prominent leader for this act of vandalism, is seen giving a speech in front of the vandalized art with a "Just Stop Oil" shirt and pink hair dye. It turns out that Hair Dye uses petroleum(Oil), which makes up approximately 80% of climate change. A more responsible activist would boycott these goods, knowing why they are doing it, yet the top point of Just Stop OIL talks about oil which is what Phoebe Plummer, the most known person from this cause at the moment, has in her hair.
Overall The Just Stop Oil Campaign needs to be more intelligent to know that they are canceling most of what they say. It is utterly disappointing, from what they wear to what art they vandalize and what they use to vandalize the art.
Pineapple does not Belong on Pizza
By Davina Separzadeh
Should pineapples be on pizza? I'm not too fond of pineapples on pizza. It's too tangy, and it doesn't fit the pizza. Some of my friends like pineapple on pizza, but most don't.
Pineapple is a tangy fruit, and pizza is a savory food; those two do not go well together. I'm a picky eater, so I like cheese pizza with nothing on it. A majority of 54% don't like pineapple on pizza, so 46% do like pineapple on pizza.
Everyone has a different opinion, but mine is pizza should be. Do you like pineapple on pizza?
Are Homeless Shelters suitable for the homeless?
By Edward Morrison
The homeless are probably one of the most contentious issues in Angelino politics. This issue was so bad that mayor Eric Garcetti would not be running for re-election, and yes, the homeless crisis was a significant reason for this. About 69,000 Angelinos are currently experiencing homelessness, which is estimated to be higher as this is just all the people the city could find. An even scarier statistic is that only about 20,000 of LA’s homeless are sheltered, which is only 30% of LA’s homeless population. So a big question is why 70% are unsheltered and are the shelters even suitable for the homeless.
There are 478 sites county-wide and 16,443 beds. We would have to quadruple the number of beds if there were enough for all the homeless, which is a challenging goal. There are currently 35 beds per homeless shelter on average. This would mean that if you wanted to maintain this average, we would need an estimated 1514 more shelters.
Now you could curb the number of shelters needed by packing these shelters with more beds, but this would plummet the living conditions of these.
Now we can’t build more shelters because there isn’t enough land for the county to make all these shelters. And even new affordable housing plans and tiny home communities have had varying degrees of success. Still, it is always lovely to hear the stories of the people who have benefited from these new measures. The issue is that more people are becoming homeless than getting out of it. The problem with this is that the county needs to move fast, but it is hard to move at such a rate. As it gets colder, I can only hope that we can get more homeless in shelters so that they can have a warm place to sleep, and I think if we work as a community, maybe we can start to find a solution to this enormous issue.

Anti-Semitic Comments are Alive and Well
By Jonathan Gorodezki
Kanye was scrolling on his phone one day and tweeted something that would change his life forever. He declared WWIII on Jews, meaning to kill all Jews. Just from this tweet, he lost his multi-billionaire brand deal with Adidas. He started saying terrible things about Jews, then saying ridiculous stuff. For example, he claimed since he is black, he is also Jewish. It all falls under the same religion when it doesn't. The school Ye's son goes to, Sierra Canyon, did not like this comment, and because of this, Ye dropped his son from the school. He then made his own school called Donda academy. Just because of the anti-Semitic comment, he has lost not only millions of dollars and followers but also his reputation.
