Kindness is Alive and Well at BVMS
by Jonathan Gorodezki and Davina Separzadeh
Thanks to the WEB program here at Beverly Vista, we celebrated World Kindness Day in a big way. It all started when the WEB students hosted a breakfast for all teachers that included coffee, donuts, and fruit salad.
Staff, teachers, and students on campus received a happy face pin to wear all day. Those who wore the pin all day received a piece of candy as a reward.
WEB created kindness cards for anyone who wanted to show kindness to a friend, or staff member were delivered to the advisory classes the next day. Students could also make a kindness bracelet with the card for one dollar. It would be great if kindness day happened every day at BVMS.
The BVMS Barker Staff wishes all of you a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving.
Wellness Center Opens
By Edward Morrison
BVMS has gone to many lengths to aid students' mental health, but the main concern has been that we needed a designated place to go and address it. As a result, the counselors and administration decided to implement a wellness center. In the back of the library, you need a special pass, only one student per class at a time, and a ten-minute limit. There are books, comfortable chairs, and stress toys. The wellness center is a very calm environment, and I thank the counselors for implementing this valuable space.

BVMS Offers Great Club Choices
By Miah Jackson
Clubs? What is a club? Clubs are when you sign up to participate in something for your school. It can be more than just for your school, though. Some places have a Chess club for a park or event. But here at Bv, we have a lot of clubs. Let me remind you about what clubs we future.
First, off their Newspaper club, I talked about this a lot. This is where you can write articles about anything you want and publish them in the BVMS Barker. This club has a lot of benefits. Let's say you want to write for your state's newspaper. This would be a great opportunity and will give you practice for the future. This club takes place on the third floor every Monday during lunch. In-room D-305.
Another Club is Orgimi Club. This club is where you can make art out of paper. This club is run by Janice moon in the library on Tuesdays. So far, this club has made a fish, a heart, and much more.
The art club is another club. Where you can draw and paint anything you want, you can also work with clay, and it could help you if you ever take ceramics and want to. Mr. Lisko runs it on the 2nd floor.
There are many other clubs in this school, and they all meet at lunch in a particular area. But If you want to learn more about these clubs, you can visit the BVMS website. HERE: bvms.bhusd.org
