WHat is the bard dna fellows program?
The purpose of the Bard DNA Fellows Program is to provide additional academics support, mentorship, professional and leadership development, and a sense of community to students from historically underrepresented and/or economically disadvantaged backgrounds, during their four years at BHSEC Queens.
Bard DNA Fellows will receive:
- access to leadership and skill development workshops- "Self, Community, Skill and Success (SCSS) Series"
- access to a Chromebook
- mentoring opportunties
- invitations to special field trips and opportunities
Bard dna fellows are required to:
- attend the 3-week Bard DNA 2019 Summer Program
- attend the monthly Bard DNA Fellows Leadership and Skill development workshop series, held during the school year after school
- attend a 1 month college credit course during the summer after 10th grade
