We headed to the all person trail (named the Woodland loop) for some time in nature and some exercise for me! This loop is fully compliant with the ADA and even had a cool post and rope guide through out the trail. Alexa told me this helps the visually impaired access the trail safely.
There were nice spots for rests with benches but of course Alexa and I just wanted to go fast so we didn’t stop! There were lots of cool things to see and read on the part of the trail they call the sensory trail. There was even a geocache I wanted to dig up, but Alexa didn’t want my paws to be muddy for church the next day! We did the loop twice because it was only .9 miles. We also tried the wheelchair on part of the Meadow Pond Loop but it definitely had a few too many rocks and tree limbs so we turned around.
The parking lot was decent size but only one disability plate parking spot. Bonus Alexa’s Mom found out they even have a Rollator you can reserve by emailing ipswichriver@massaudubon.org ahead of time.
This trail was close to 4 paws for me but no potty spots for Alexa. Also other dogs aren’t allowed only service dogs (lucky me!) because it is a wildlife preserve.
