And finally, we arrive at Gordon Loop. If you're looking for a challenge, this nine mile loop is sure to give you one, at least for the first few times. When I first jumped up to this loop as my long run, I was feeling it by the end. My body simply wasnt used to the mileage. Once I finished the run, however, I felt like a new person. There is something so rewarding about accomplishing something really hard, whether that be setting a PR, or running longer than ever before. What really helped me do this, was running with a group of people. Being able to talk to other people during the long run, or really any run, makes it go by so much quicker. Also, when it starts to get tough, you naturally push each other, rather than having no one to work with while solo.
All in all, Gordon Loop is a tough, but fun and gratifying loop. I highly reccomend running it with other people, not only to make it an enjoyable time, but also to push you to be the best version of yourself.
