For 20 years, Sean has worked with students as the coordinator of the internship program, which is supported by the Berkshire County Regional Employment Board and as the faculty coordinator of the CVTE Tech-Prep initiatives. Sean is the faculty advisor to Above the Influence, and was the co-advisor to the Student Senate for three years. Sean was a soccer coach with both the boys’ and girls’ soccer programs for fourteen years. He has been a facilitator for parent forums and college planning information programs and is the coordinator of the annual junior job shadow day.
Sean earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Westfield State University.
He holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in School Counseling from Westfield as well.
Sean has continued his education, earning certification in Positive Psychology at the Kripalu Center. He is also a trained mentor through our district’s mentoring program. He has participated in several professional development conferences and workshops in career and technical education, career and college counseling, and mental health and personal wellbeing.
He is the recipient of the Massachusetts School Counselor of the Year award. Sean has been a speaker at the MSCA annual conference and at Massachusetts Tech Prep fall conference on School to Career Connecting Activities. He has served on the visiting evaluation team for the NEASC. Sean has had a number of interns work with him as their practicum mentor in school counseling through Westfield State University. He was the chair of the Mission and Expectations committee and serves on the school’s CVTE steering committee. He is a board member for Railroad Street Youth Project and the Crocus Fund.
Sean was inducted into the Berkshire County Soccer Hall of Fame in 2010. He volunteers as a board member and youth soccer coach for Berkshire Hills Youth Soccer and is the co-director of Berkshire Soccer School a summer youth soccer camp that has been running in the Berkshires for the past twenty-three years.
He is a proud graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School and lives locally with his wife Kristen and their four children.
