Governor Livingston's Chapter of the

National Honor Society

Created in 1921, the National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization designed to recognize those students of high academic achievement. Students that possess qualities of scholarship, but also leadership, service, and outstanding character, are encouraged to learn more about NHS.

The Governor Livingston High School chapter of NHS prides itself on the quality of student that comprises our membership. Tutoring is an essential component of maintaining membership in NHS with members participating in drop-in tutoring at the IMC, participating in Deerfield's homework help club, and by one-on-one tutoring in the community. Additionally, the organization as a whole regularly completes several service activities benefitting the school community and the community at large. Students also are involved in the community individually by volunteering their time to various organizations and events.
