Students Against Destructive Decisions
S.A.D.D (Students Against Destructive Decisions) gives the students a safe space to discuss, educate and bring awareness to Highland about topics such as traffic safety, substance abuse and personal wellness. A big component of S.A.D.D. is peers educating peers. This promotes leadership and advocacy skills in students. When committing to the SADD club, students are encouraged to make positive decisions for themselves, in order to serve as a healthy example to their peers. The members will also be able to participate in the activities/events listed below.
Activities:
Week of Respect
School Violence Awareness Week
Red Ribbon Week
Dating Violence Awareness
Mental Health Awareness Month
Distracted Driving Awareness Month
Please contact Ms. Altman (S.A.D.D. Club Advisor) if you are interested in joining the S.A.D.D. Club at Highland.
