Space Systems

The fifth grade space unit has two key parts. The first is to learn about patterns that occur on the Earth due to it's movement and location within our solar system. Students collect data through various hands on experiences and databases, they then analyze this data to understand how it impacts our life on Earth.

The second key part is a project based learning unit where students learn about another planet from our solar system and apply their essential understandings of Earth's patterns to patterns on their selected planet. Students also build models, create presentations, and/or develop websites and AR experiences to share their learning with their classmates and families.
