Week 14 (3/10):  Started Survival Task #3: Research, Design, and Build a Water Filter

Week 15 (3/17): NO PACE

Week 16 (3/24): Survival Task #3: Build & Test Water Filters (see pictures below)

Week 17 (3/31): Finished answering lab questions and pulled cards for survival. 

Week 9 (2/3): Finished building shelters and took Reading Comprehension Check #1 on Classroom.  HW: Read 101-131 for next week! 

Week 10 (2/10): Discussed 101-131 in the book. 

• What words would you use to describe the main character, Sam Gribley? 

• What quality do you find the most admirable and why? HW: Finish the book for next week! 

Week 11 (2/17): Reading Comprehension Check #2, chance cards and team points, made a plan for next class with partner (work on shelter, design a garden, design and build a water filter, etc).

Week 12: February Break

Week 5: Descriptive Writing - You wake up alone on the beach of a deserted island on your way to your dream vacation. What do you see, hear, feel, taste, etc.  Is this a dream come true or a nightmare? Due next week!

Week 6: Survival Task #1 - assess what you have and what you will need to survive on the deserted island.

Week 7: HW: Read pages 1-50 in My Side of the Mountain by next week 

Week 8: Survival Task #2 - Build a Shelter before sundown (end of class!) HW: Read pages 50-101 in My Side of the Mountain for next week! 

Week 1: Introductions, Expectations (theirs and mine), Mystery Bag Design Challenge (click on your building below to see the pictures!)

Week 2: Plan Your Dream Vacation (one day activity necessary to jump start us next week) - This was not meant to be challenging.
