Period SIX English 9

English 9 is chunked into thematic units: American Voices, The Literature of Civil Rights, Star-Crossed Romances, Journeys of Transformation, and World's End. Each unit culminates in a performance-based assessment and focuses on specific modes of writing. In addition to writing frequently, students will build their vocabulary through bi-weekly quizzes, hold small and whole group discussions, and participate in frequent checks for understanding through formative and summative assessments.
