Infinite Campus reflects the student’s current grade. Not Edgenuity.
Completing work and demonstrating learning should be the focus each week.
Grades in Edgenuity do not reflect the actual grade.
Teachers will grade work in Edgenuity and transfer scores to Infinite Campus.
Google classroom assignments for core classes will supplement Edgenuity.
Grades in core classes are a combination of Edgenuity and Google Classroom assignments.
Independent Study Electives and AP Courses
The grades in these classes will be in Infinite Campus, but will not have additional work added through Google Classroom.
Google Classroom serves as the main method of communication between the teacher and the student.
In core classes where you have scheduled Google Meets, attendance is taken for being present during the entire Meet. Students are counted absent for not being in the meet and/or staying the entire meet. Students must have their cameras on to be counted present.
Refer to this video about how the core classes meet.
A core class is English, math, social studies, science and World Language.
In Independent Electives and AP Courses, attendance is based on completing your assigned work for the week.
If you do not attend Google Meets and/or complete your classwork you will be counted as absent
Yes, students may be absent as in traditional school (e.g., sickness, doctor appointments, death in the family, court appearances)
If you need to be absent, take a picture of the doctor note and email to Amanda.Strode@bgreen.kyschools.us for excused absences. An email to Ms. Strode will also count towards parent notes.
Watch this short video on how to log in to the Edgenuity Student Dashboard. On Clever your school name is VIRTUAL ACADEMY.
Students do NOT need an Edgenuity password because when students login through Clever, Edgenuity will recognize the student’s login information from their student Google account.
When students first login, their first assignment will be to watch a short orientation video about the platform.
Teachers will announce the Edgenuity assignments for the week in their Google Classroom. It is important to complete the assignments each week to avoid falling behind in class.
If you have questions about assignments you should contact your student's teacher directly for assistance.
