Edpuzzle is a way to make watching videos more interactive.
This tool allows you to take videos from a source (YouTube, National Geographic, Khan Academy, self-made, etc) and embed questions, notes and voiceovers into the video. Students are assigned the video and answer as they watch. The grading side allows you to see their grades, time spent on task, and how many times they viewed video segments before answering each question.

Most commonly used as a review tool or trivia game, this game-based platform allows you to input a question set (typically multiple choice) and students answer in a trivia style game. Faster responses give students more points but correct responses are more valuable. Other options available through this program but a paid account would offer the most options.

Gimkit is like a mashup of Kahoot! and Quizlet, but with some unique features neither have. The live gameplay is fast-paced and engaging, but when it's assigned for independent practice, Gimkit functions more like flash cards. Getting started is easy; search for kits (question sets) created by other users and copy/modify them for your own use. This makes it easy to insert an interactive review game into your lesson with minimal prep. Teachers can also use the assignments feature to give homework. Teachers set a due date, and students work through the kit at their own pace, answering questions until they reach a set goal.

Low-Tech, requires a smartphone but no personal information.
Similar to the old clickers response system, this tool assigns a QR code to each student in your class. You print the code on a card for each student and they use the card to answer multiple choice questions. Your phone is used to scan the room for student answers. This is good for immediate feedback without the opportunity for students to be on other apps/games.
