Burgan, M. (2013). The Split History of the American Revolution. Compass Point Books.
This book is unique in that it tells the story of the American Revolution from two points of view; that of a Patriot and also of the British. This would be a great book to use if you are focused on a soldier's experience through the war.
Harris, M. C., Hoare, J., & McVeigh, K. (2016). What is the Declaration of Independence? Grosset & Dunlap, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
In one of our favorite formats, we have a "What Is..." about the Declaration of Independence. If your inquiry is focused on the Declaration of Independence, then this would be a great resource to utilize. It contains many awesome photos!!
You may also do your own MackinVia search for the more specific topic you might be looking for.
