I brushed off the anxious feeling and continued to walk towards the door.

As I reached for the doorknob, I realized that it was painted into the wall.

Strange.

Then I remembered about the floor. I looked down and saw that it wasn’t there.

And as I was falling down into the darkness, another door popped up, and this time, it was open.

I fell into the door and, despite never having been there before, I knew exactly where I was.

I was in her apartment.

As I walked around the living room, I heard her footsteps and quickly ran into what I assumed was a closet.

It wasn’t.

Instead, I was in a casino where everything was melting.

That didn’t seem to bother me. I trudged through the melting floor towards what I assumed was the exit.

Yet as I draw nearer, I realized that the door never existed. The casino never existed. It was all just a figment of my imagination.

I looked around and saw numerous people in the casino staring at me.

I stared back, defiant.

No.

I slowly sank into the floor.
