Empty Lines
by Ava Kreutziger

A deep breath
fights away
remnants from
a mistake
one particle
sticks gently
clinging
to the surface
Lines remain empty
marks from
underneath
pierce through
those previous attempts
distort perception
There is a circle
in the bottom corner
where the blue ink
is blurred and
the texture
has a soft wrinkle
One flip
can make a
used page
feel new
but the indentations
will always carry
buried memories
