What are my expectations?
Each student is graded on 5 things in class.
Stay on task: Follow the rules and play the games as instructed.
Try your best: Give the best effort possible. We're all doing our best together.
Active listening: Paying attention as I am speaking to the class and following directions.
Respect: Respect others, the equipment, and coach.
Sportsmanship: We're all competitive but we also still need to show respect to others by encouragement and treating others how we want to be treated.
In PE we wonder what our bodies can do, how fast we can move, how high we can jump, and how strong we can become. I will be creating wonder moment in PE, to get the kids to wonder what they can achieve. I want the kids to get excited about learning and discovering new things about themselves.
By incorporating wonder moments in PE, It will make movement more meaningful, personal, and fun. It's not going to be just about activity - its about exploring, discovery, and imagination.
