Class Overview

Each child at Benjamin Franklin Charter School participates in a structured physical education experience. The physical education program is designed to teach children important physical skill development that will carry over into day-to-day life and help promote good health.

Welcome to the TEAM

My name is Coach Chad Shipman. I am your PE teacher at Benjamin Franklin. This is my 8th year coaching PE. I am a huge soccer fan and enjoying playing each week. I enjoy spending time with my family and taking adventures with them. I have three boys Ezra, Taft, and Cal. I am looking forward to having a wondering school year with you and cannot wait to see you all.

Looking Forward....

I'm excited to be here and I look forward to spending time with the students. It brings me much joy and happiness to see them develop and grow up. I have the most fun participating with the students, they always love to see me get involved and play with them. It's my hope that every student can walk away from my PE class, having learned and obtained something new that they didn't know that they could do before. As each student tries their best, I promise that they will be better than they were.

My Education Philosophy:

Education is an important part of our life. Whatever knowledge we obtain in this life carries over with us into our next life. My goal with each student is to coach you to be the best version of yourself possible. Each of us have within us to be great and do exceptional things in this life. I want each of you to see your full potential and what you can do when you TRY. We all fail in life, but its how we deal with those failures that will define us.
