The fourth grade class I student taught, in Tucson, AZ.
During my training at the University of Arizona, I completed practicum placements in first, fourth, and fifth grades, gaining hands-on experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and differentiated instruction. In my final semester, I served as a student teacher in a fourth-grade classroom, where I enjoyed designing engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and seeing the impact of individualized instruction on student growth.
I am currently in my second year of teaching at Benjamin Franklin Charter School, Power Campus! This year, I am excited to return to the fourth-grade classroom and apply creative teaching strategies to support student learning, encourage curiosity, and promote a love of learning. Being part of such a vibrant and supportive school community is inspiring, and I look forward to another year of growth alongside my students. Go Panthers!
My father and my second oldest brother are also University of Arizona alumni, while my younger sister is currently a junior at the University of Arizona—Bear Down!
Following in my father’s footsteps, my oldest brother is joining the United States Navy to earn a commission as an officer and train to become a naval aviator.
I come from a close-knit family with two older twin brothers and a younger sister, placing me squarely in the middle. I feel beyond fortunate to be part of a caring, supportive, and humor-filled family. My family has played a significant role in my life, and each member has influenced me throughout my college career through their encouragement, wisdom, and wit. We cherish spending time together, especially sharing laughter and creating memories.
One of my favorite hobbies is traveling!
I studied abroad in Rome, Italy during the Summer of 2023. In Rome, I took classes at the American University of Rome. Although my classes were not specific to my training in elementary education, I gained valuable international experience: embracing new cultures, being resourceful, creative, and independent.
Meeting new people, trying different food, experiencing various cultures is one of the highlights of my college career. The opportunity to explore another country opened my eyes to how diverse the world truly is. I thoroughly enjoyed my time abroad and learned a lot about myself and the world.
Graduation from the University of Arizona, with some great friends.
