Angelo Fernando - Teacher Bio 2023 - 2024.pdf

I am a computer teacher with 26 year's experience in information and communication technologies. This is my 6th year at Benjamin Franklin High School; my 13th year teaching computers and technology.

My communications and media background includes working at several technology companies, including Decision Theater, a 3D visualization tech-research lab at Arizona State University.
My first book Chat Republic, which focused on digital and social media was published in 2013. My second book was on robotics.
I have coached robotics, conducted STEM workshops, and currently sponsor the school robotics club.
BA in English Literature, MA in Communications from the University of Leicester, UK.

I grew up in Sri Lanka. Arizona has been my home for the past 26 years. My hobbies are photography, reading, robotics, and travel. And, of course, podcasting and writing!
